Mens fashion at Couture week was nothing less than grand as well. From monochrome understated looks to full blown embroidered achkans, there was something for every mans varied taste. Be it a wedding outfit or a smart jacket for a cocktail party, we took in a lot of designs and inspirations that will turn around every mans festive wear closet.
Take a look at a couple designs below that peaked our interest:
Manish Malhotra’s male brigade was mainly in Monochrome. While the ivory sherwanis were self embroidered the Black ones had a contrast of White detailing. It was a sleek and classy line which didn’t diverge from tradition and kept things simple and clean.
Anita Dongre’s line on the other hand had more color and texture to the outfits. From simple plain Kurtas to Achkans in embroidered velvets, each ensemble was finished off with long scarves that added character and a sense of élan to the looks.
Varun Bahl’s collection was by far our most favorite of the lot, with his use of pastel shades beautifully inter-woven together with delicate florals. A collection that was so masculine yet with a sense of delicateness which served as the crux of the design. The outfits are perfect for a day wedding or something that would be an attractive look at a summer mehendi party.
Anju Modi stuck to her signature style but also added hints of drama here and there. Draped Kurtas worn with short jackets. Achkans paired with elaborate stoles, all in all a collection fit for the royals. Rich colors contrasted with jewel hues set the tone for her collection.
The berth for men’s fashion no longer takes a back seat. It’s taking giant steps forward in terms of couture as well as hi-street. Keep up with all the frenzy and get updated on whats the latest in the Men’s World of Fashion right here every Wednesday and do not miss out.
